Rhoda - Hello, My name is Rhoda-Rebecca, but I mostly go by Rhoda. I am 21 years old, and I am originally from the United States. My family moved to Canada when I was 12 and we became citizens in 2017. Besides being American/Canadian I also consider myself to be Ghanian and Nigerian as well. My dad is from Ghana and mom is from Nigeria. My multi-cultural background is the cause of my love for traveling. I have been to 9 different countries in my short life, and I look forward to going to more one day. For now, I just graduated from the Lethbridge College with a level 2 in ECE, so I have I have not been in the field for long unlike many of my co-workers. However, I have worked with children my whole life. I have been a babysitter, Sunday school teacher, and camp counsellor and for as long as I can remember, I wanted to make it my career. I am extremely passionate about children and supporting them in their learning. I look forward to meeting and getting to know each child and their families.

Marivic - My name is Marivic Klassen and I was born in Manila, Philippines. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education in 2006. After I got my degree I taught 1st and 2nd grade for 13 years in the Philippines. I moved to Canada in the winter of 2019 and have worked in a daycare for almost 3 years now. I am fond of children and love to educate and care for them in any way that I can. For that reason my work and my passion has always been involved with children. Some of my hobbies are photography, painting and reading.

Suzette - I am originally from the Philippines, and I graduated with a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Physical Education. After graduating in 2001, I decided to continue my path as a high school teacher for 13 more years. As a

teacher, I enjoy opening up children’s imaginations so they can explore and observe the world around them. In 2013, I moved to Canada from the Philippines. During May of 2013, I received my ECE certificate as a Childhood Education Supervisor, and I have been working in the childcare field since then. The babies’ room is where I am currently working. Being able to see them

developing new skills every day, and helping them to achieve those skills is a most rewarding experience for me. I love working with children and finding so much joy around them as I watch their development. Furthermore, I also enjoy forming a unique bond with each child. Having the opportunity to be part of all the children’s lives is a delightful experience for me. I love this journey of watching them grow up, and spending my time with them. Having the opportunity to work with children everyday is an incredibly rewarding career.

I have a degree in Bachelor of Arts and a certificate in Early Childhood Education. I always find great joy in interacting with children. I always aim to maintain a secure and nurturing environment to our children as I believe that a safe environment is important in promoting a child’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. I enjoy participating in various games and activities with our children that we plan based on their interests and

needs to help them learn and grow. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, and shopping. I also enjoy road trips and nature.
